Let's connect as a community with programs for kids, adults and families
delivered digitally over Zoom!

Programming will be spread out from July 11th - 25th -->

You can expect a variety of evening and weekend activities.

 

We will again be joined by a dedicated and enthusiastic team of both native Kazakhstanis and adopted Kazakh-American role models. 

Expect engaging and varied programming, including:

Virtual Zhailau

  • Multiple Zoom sessions carefully designed to enhance families’ cultural understanding

  • Opportunities for social interaction

  • Updated versions of popular workshops from last year:

    • Kazakh cooking

    • Musical performances

    • Dance performances

    • Crafts

    • Connecting with young adults & youth in Kazakhstan

  • New offerings -- such as Kazakh history, games, and falconry

Adoption Identity​

  • Workshops facilitated by Tanya Kaanta - a transracial, Korean adoptee. Tanya has a Ph.D. in Sociology and an M.S. in Student Affairs from Colorado State University. Her research focused on Korean inter-country adoption, identity formation process, emotion work, agency, and advocacy work of adult adoptees. 

  • Adoption Identity for adoptees/youth  - 2 workshops

  • Adoption Identity for parents - 2 workshops

$200/family – NO Adoption Identity sessions

$300/family – INCLUDING Adoption Identity sessions

Price includes all activities for all family members, regardless of number of sessions attended or devices  employed.

 

After June 1, all registrations will be charged a $25 late fee
Late registrations accepted only until July 1st.

Make your payment through the PayPal link at the bottom of the registration page.  In a few weeks, you will be sent information to sign up for the specific activities your family members will participate in.
